2025 Grant Funding Opportunities
The AmeriHealth Caritas Foundation is dedicated to preventing and mitigating adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), which are proven to have long-term impacts on physical and mental health, as well as on social and economic opportunity. The AmeriHealth Caritas Foundation looks forward to working with local nonprofits to help drive meaningful change for children and communities who need it the most.
Mission and focus areas
The AmeriHealth Caritas Foundation is dedicated to preventing and mitigating adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), which will help drive positive outcomes for children's health and help set a stronger foundation for a lifetime of wellness. In addition to preventing and mitigating ACEs, it promotes protective and compensatory childhood experiences (sometimes referred to as “PACEs”), which can counteract the effects of ACEs.
Grants are made based on three pillars:
- Empowered families
- Healing behaviors
- Access to health care
To promote these pillars, the Foundation prioritizes nonprofit organizations that work to end ACEs by supporting families and children and equipping them for an emotionally healthy future.

Application process
The Foundation has a two-step application process:

2. Full proposal
Organizations and projects selected based on the Foundation's focus areas are then moved to the final round of consideration. The full proposal will include in-depth information regarding the program and project, as well as the budget.
LOI submissions are due June 25, 2025, and LOI decisions are expected to be made by July 21, 2025. Funding decisions are expected to be fully communicated by October 2025. The LOI portal opens on May 28.
