2024 Foundation Grant Partners

In its second funding cycle, the AmeriHealth Caritas Foundation has made significant investments in programs and communities across all AmeriHealth Caritas Medicaid health markets. To date, the Foundation has provided over $3.5 million in funding to 28 organizations confronting adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). These grants are having a profound impact on the health and well-being of children and families.

 
 

District of Columbia

 

The Children's Law Center in Washington, D.C., advocates for systemic change to increase the well-being of children in the District. It will use its grant to staff doctors' offices with lawyers who will work to protect children.

 
 

Delaware

 

Duffy's Hope, Inc. in Wilmington is committed to empowering the youth of its community through preventive programs. It will use its grant to support the opening of its Housing Opportunity for Personal Enrichment house that supports young women aging out of the foster care system.

 
 
 
 

Indiana

 

LifeSpring Health Systems in Jeffersonville provides primary care and behavioral health. It will use its grant from the Foundation to support the creation of a behavioral health urgent care model to enhance the crisis continuum of care in southern Indiana.

 
 

Louisiana

 

Community Renewal International (CRI) in Shreveport will use its grant to support the Friendship House Initiative, which is designed to develop character and grow hope and competence in area youth. Also, Total Community Action (TCA), Inc. in New Orleans plans to create a trauma-informed culture across its Head Start programs.

 
 
 
 

Michigan

 

Children Trust Michigan in Lansing will use the Foundation grant to support its HOPE (Healthy Outcomes from Positive Experiences) training project. Also, The Children's Center in Detroit will expand its community reach, engagement training, and more.

 
 

North Carolina

 

The WakeMed Foundation in Raleigh will use its grant to support the Project LAUNCH program. National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Western Carolina in Asheville plans to launch the NAMI Family Support Group for parents of teens.

 
 
 
 

New Hampshire

 

The Foundation awarded a grant to the Granite United Way in Concord to support family resource centers (FRCs) throughout the state of New Hampshire.

 
 

Ohio

 

The Appalachian Children Coalition in Athens was awarded a grant to develop a resource to promote school and community activities that address child exposure to trauma. Also, the Boys & Girls Clubs of America will use their grant to launch a Boys & Girls Club chapter at the Bradfield Community Center in Lima.

 
 
 
 

Pennsylvania

 

AmeriHealth Caritas Foundation awarded six grants to organizations throughout Pennsylvania that are prioritizing asset-based and community-led programs and services to ensure families are thriving. A total of $645,000 was awarded to The Community Grocer, Greater Philadelphia YMCA, Impact Services, Penn IGNITE, Pennsylvania Partnership for Children, and the University of Pittsburgh.

 
 

South Carolina

 

Children's Trust of South Carolina in Columbia received a grant to provide its Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) Online. Also, Harvest Hope Food Bank in Columbia received a grant to support the expansion of its child and family-focused programs.
